1. Make life difficult for Chris Johnson
Despite seeing a loss of production recently, Chris Johnson is still one of the top RBs in the game. He has the speed to break one loose at any time, even though it does seem that he has lost a step. The Dolphins have one of the top run Ds in the league, and it will be tough for Chris Johnson to run much on us. However, the Dolphins run D is also known for allowing one big run a game. They can not do that this week against Johnson.
2. Contain Jake Locker
Jake Locker is a very mobile dual-threat QB. He can both sling it out, but can also make big plays with his feet. If the Dolphins put too much pressure on him, he will be able to scramble and make a big gain with his feet. The Dolphins will need to vary the pressure and blitzes on him, while keeping at least one contain/spy to stop him from running with it. If they can force Locker to become a pocket QB, they will be able to stop him.
3. Vary up the running game
Reggie Bush has been in a bit of a slump recently, and Daniel Thomas has been able to pick up the slack. However, Reggie will need to get his act together if the Dolphins offense wants to be effective. If Reggie is able to work his way out of his slump this week, then let him continue to take the ball. However if Reggie continues to struggle, then it is time to use Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller more, hoping the young guys can pick it up.
4. Attack the middle of the field
The Titans have what could possibly be the worst starting safety tandem in the NFL. The Titans duo of Jason Babineaux and Micheal Griffin are terrible, to put it lightly, the the DOlphins should take advantage of this glaring hole. Expect Anthony Fasano and Charles Clay to have big days, as the safety tandem will not be able to contain them. Run some inside routes using the biggish Jabar Gaffney and Brian Hartline, and Ryan Tannehill will have a good day.
5. Attack the Number 2 CB
The Titans have a solid no. 1 CB in Jason McCourty, but lack consistency accross from him, and their nickel CB is not good as well. The Dolphins will have to feed it to whoever is not covered by Jason McCourty, and will have to take advantage of the weak secondary. If they keep the ball away from McCourty, and the open WRs are able to make the plays, then the Dolphins offense should be on a roll.
